Vein & Vascular Care

Personalized Vein Treatment for Everyday Vein Concerns

Visible veins can be frustrating, but they are not always the only reason someone seeks care. Leg heaviness, aching, swelling, nighttime cramping, itching, or burning can also lead patients to have their veins evaluated. If you are looking for a vein doctor, we begin with a focused consultation centered on what you are experiencing and what your medical needs may be.

Our care includes diagnostic vein ultrasound along with several minimally invasive procedures by The Town MD. Depending on what your evaluation shows, a vein specialist may discuss sclerotherapy, endovenous laser ablation, radiofrequency ablation, or ambulatory micro-phlebectomy as possible options for the vein concern being treated.

Vein Care Options We Offer

Get to know the diagnostic services, treatments, and condition-focused care available through our vein services.

Vein Condition

Varicose Vein Condition

We evaluate enlarged or bulging varicose veins, along with related symptoms, before discussing treatment options that fit the clinical findings and your individual needs.

Surface Veins

Spider Vein Care

Our spider vein care addresses visible superficial reddish or purple veins, with treatment options that may include cosmetic micro-injections when they are clinically appropriate.

Vein Diagnostics

Vein Screening & Ultrasound

Diagnostic duplex vascular ultrasound gives us a closer look at vein function and can help identify venous valve problems that may be contributing to your symptoms.

Micro-Injection

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy uses an injectable solution or medical foam to treat selected veins. Ultrasound guidance may also be used for branching or curved varicose veins.

Laser Technology

Endovenous Laser Ablation

EVLT uses a tiny laser fiber to provide targeted thermal radiation inside a sick vein, allowing the vein to be closed during treatment while under local anesthetic.

Thermal Energy

Radiofrequency Ablation

Radiofrequency ablation uses thermal energy delivered through a small catheter to close selected diseased saphenous veins in an in-office setting.

Micro-Removal

Ambulatory Micro-Phlebectomy

This procedure treats bulging surface varicose veins through small micro-puncture openings. It is performed with local numbing rather than traditional vein stripping.

Venous Symptoms

Leg Swelling & Restless Legs

We evaluate vein-related concerns that can include lower-leg swelling, heaviness, nighttime cramping, and restless-leg symptoms as part of vascular assessment and care.

Your Vein Care Path

Your Four-Step Vein Care Journey

Your care starts with an evaluation and moves through diagnostic review, treatment planning, and appropriate in-office care based on your needs.

01

Initial Consultation

We start by talking your concerns, including visible veins, leg heaviness, discomfort, swelling, cosmetic concerns, and other symptoms that may help guide the evaluation.

02

Ultrasound Mapping

When it is appropriate, duplex ultrasound offers a non-invasive look at how your veins are functioning and may help identify valve leakage or venous reflux.

03

Treatment Planning

We review the findings with you, discuss suitable treatment options, and coordinate insurance pre-authorization when your plan requires approval before a procedure.

04

In-Office Care

Depending on your care plan, treatment may involve laser ablation, radiofrequency ablation, sclerotherapy, or another vein procedure performed with appropriate numbing.

Insurance & Access

Insurance Support for Medically Necessary Vein Care

Medicare and several commercial insurance plans cover qualified symptomatic vein care, which includes specific diagnostic ultrasonography tests and medically essential vein surgeries.

We understand that insurance questions can be a significant part of the care planning process. Our insurance coordinators can analyze benefits, submit necessary documentation, and coordinate prior authorization where it is required before treatment. Coverage is determined by specific plan terms and clinical standards.

Vein Treatment FAQ

FAQs

Straightforward answers to common questions about vein evaluations, procedures, insurance, and care.

What happens during a vein treatment consultation?
We talk with you about your symptoms, visible vein concerns, and medical needs before deciding whether additional evaluation may be appropriate. When indicated, duplex ultrasound can be used to assess vein function and look for venous reflux.
There is no single procedure that fits every vein concern. The approach depends on the type of vein problem, your symptoms, examination findings, and diagnostic results. Our options include EVLT, radiofrequency ablation, sclerotherapy, and ambulatory micro-phlebectomy.
Several of our vein procedures are performed with local numbing or anesthesia. The exact technique depends on the treatment and may involve laser, radiofrequency, injection-based care, or a micro-removal approach for selected vein concerns.
Coverage varies based on your insurer, symptoms, clinical findings, and specific plan requirements. The Town MD lists Medicare and several commercial insurers for medically necessary vein procedures and provides support with the prior-authorization process.
Many of the vein procedures are performed in-office, and walking after treatment is included in the care pathway. Your activity, compression, and follow-up instructions will depend on the procedure performed and your provider’s guidance.
